LEADING LIKE A GARDENER

Leadership during times of change and growth is a lot like the work of a gardener— there’s a lot of time invested in preparing and cultivating before you see the “harvest.”

The RCA Seasons of Growth™ framework introduces the three phases involved in this work of leading change.

Each phase focuses on key issues that need attention, laying the foundation for what follows next.

In Leading Change Like a Gardener, you will learn how to proactively embrace each of these three phases, putting you on a path to success!

News Release

January 2014

Local business leader Michael Randel named one of 2014’s “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business”

KENSINGTON, Md., January 15, 2014 — Michael Randel, founder and director of Maryland-based Randel Consulting Associates, has been named by Trust Across America-Trust Around the World (TAA-TWA), global leaders in organizational trust, to their 2014 “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business.” Randel was honored as a result of his work with clients ranging from huge international players such as the World Bank to local community organizations, working to bring diverse stakeholders together to build trust for common action.

This year’s 100 recipients hail from around the globe and include leaders from the public and private sectors as well as authors, consultants, researchers and academics. Many are well-known CEOs and leadership experts, while others are quietly working behind the scenes as teachers and researchers. Each honoree has made an extensive and positive contribution to building trust in organizations. TAA-TAW received hundreds of nominations from around the world. The list was narrowed through an extensive vetting and independent judging process.

Barbara Kimmel, executive director of TAA-TWA, said, “The honorees are inspiring organizations to look more closely at their higher purpose, to create greater value for, and trust from, all of their stakeholders. They understand that trust is an asset that can leverage real business gains. We congratulate all of our honorees whose work is shining a spotlight on the importance of trust and providing a roadmap for others to follow.”

Michael Randel is an organizational development consultant and facilitator who brings more than 20 years experience working with companies across five continents. Locally, he has worked with numerous organizations including Bethesda Green, the US Green Building Council, American Alliance of Museums, Inova Health and NASA.
